Ariel attended North Carolina School of Advance Bodywork in Charlotte, NC. In her first year as a massage therapist, she took a lymphatic drainage course. This class marked the direction she would go within the massage field.
In 2018, Ariel began Dr.Mermaid's Therapeutic Massage in Charlotte, NC. Two years later, opened a second location in SC. She has since furthered her education in lymphatic drainage (LDT3, Chikly Institute), craniosacral therapy (CST2, Upledger Institute), visceral manipulation (VM2, Barral Institute), and neuromeningeal manipulation (NM1, Barral Institute).
In 2024, Ariel relocated to Texas to be closer to family and has then become a Certified Master Herbalist.
As an herbalist, she is better suited to serve her clients in a more holistic way through herbal remedies as tinctures, balms, essential oils, and teas.

On December 25th 2017 I was hit in my drivers side door by a guy who ran the red light doing 55, Yes I was driving a VW and Yes, I got out of it without any serious injury and went on to celebrate Christmas at my families home in Shelby. As the days went on I was not quite right aches pains a little of vertigo so I started to go to a Chiropractor and in his office Ariel had just started to practice. I Promise you, you will never find a more body knowledgeable and strong hand massage therapist any where. I have been seeing her for nearly 4 years and I have found with deep tissue massage the more discomfort I ask for I feel better longer when I leave her. She does do all modalities Swedish, Gentle etc. My Deep tissue is my wheelhouse as I am old and battered. lol Do yourself a favor and give her a call, I don't think you will be sorry,

Absolute best massage I’ve gotten so far. She took my migraine away within minutes, the rest of my body is so released now. She took her time, was quite professional, had beautiful music in the background and her office smelled lovely.

My body would not be as healthy or mobile if not for Ariel. I don’t refer to my time with her as a “massage”, but as intense, targeted bodywork. Once, I had a clicking jaw and happened to mention it to her. She did mouth muscle manipulation and it was GONE! She’s also trained in lymphatic drainage and I have benefited greatly from that. Lately I have had a knee issue that I thought would never go away. She begin working on my hip and gave me a lacrosse ball to do exercises. Unbelievable! No more knee issues. She really knows the body, the muscular system, the lymphatic system, and how it all works together. Everyone that I have referred to her, says the same thing. She’s the most knowledgeable masseuse I’ve ever seen. She’s really in a class all by herself.

A wonderful, healing experience every time I am with Ariel. She listens to my requests and doesn’t bulldoze over my body, she takes her time which I appreciate! From deep tissue, to stretching or lymphatic massage she can do it all!
